FORT MYERS -- ORBIS Properties has acquired several adjacent retail centers on Cleveland Avenue (U.S. 41), on behalf of WPRM, a limited liability company. The $15.8 million transaction involves 17 buildings that comprise about 237,000 sf of retail space.
Among the centers acquired are Old America Plaza and Dragon Plaza. Tenants at the properties, which are just south of Page Field Commons, include Kinko's Copy Center, Honey Baked Hams, Subway, FOS Furniture Outlet Stores, Ada's Health Foods, Goodwill, Snyderman Shoes, and Family Thrift. They were all part of The Rental Man portfolio, developed in the 1970s and 1980s by the late Charlie Johnston,
Max Kamhi, a principal in ORBIS Properties, stated that the company is looking at several design options to provide the centers with a uniform identity
Rodney A. Fidler, Jr., CCIM, of Fidler Real Estate Services, brokered the sale. The sellers were represented by Brian Tunnell and Debra Shuey, of Coldwell Banker Commercial. Financing was provided by Orion Bank.
ORBIS Properties will assume management of the properties.
